Description

A strawberry mojito is a refreshing cocktail made with rum. Perfect for the summer days!

Ingredients
  • 3-4 strawberries
  • 1 oz simple syrup
  • 2-3 mint sprigs
  • 1 lime
  • 2 oz light rum
  • 4 oz club soda (or soda water)
Instructions
  1. 1

In a chill glass muddle the strawberries, mint, and simple syrup.

  2. 2

Squeeze in the lime (feel free to drop in some lime wedges). Add the rum.

  3. 3

Fill the glass with crushed ice (you can use cubed if you prefere), top with soda water and give it a gentle stir.

  4. 4

Garnish with strawberry slices and mint leaves.

Tips
  • Use fresh, ripe strawberries. Frozen strawberries can be used, but they will not be as flavorful.
  • Muddle the strawberries and mint leaves well to release their juices and oils. This is essential for the flavor of the mojito.
  • Don't over-muddle the strawberries, or they will become mushy.
  • Use a good quality rum.
  • Use club soda to top off the mojito. This will help to keep it light and refreshing.
  • Garnish with fresh strawberries and mint leaves. This will make your mojito look and taste even better.
  • You can make a simple syrup by boiling equal parts sugar and water. Let the syrup cool completely before using it in your mojito.
  • If you don't have a muddler, you can use a wooden spoon or the back of a fork to crush the strawberries and mint leaves.
  • If you want to make a non-alcoholic mojito, simply omit the rum and add more club soda.
