Description

A strawberry mojito is a refreshing cocktail made with rum. Perfect for the summer days!

Ingredients
  • 3-4 strawberries
  • 1 oz simple syrup
  • 2-3 mint sprigs
  • 1 lime
  • 2 oz light rum
  • 4 oz club soda (or soda water)
Instructions
  1. In a chill glass muddle the strawberries, mint, and simple syrup.

  2. Squeeze in the lime (feel free to drop in some lime wedges). Add the rum.

  3. Fill the glass with crushed ice (you can use cubed if you prefere), top with soda water and give it a gentle stir.

  4. Garnish with strawberry slices and mint leaves.

Tips
  • Use fresh, ripe strawberries. Frozen strawberries can be used, but they will not be as flavorful.
  • Muddle the strawberries and mint leaves well to release their juices and oils. This is essential for the flavor of the mojito.
  • Don't over-muddle the strawberries, or they will become mushy.
  • Use a good quality rum.
  • Use club soda to top off the mojito. This will help to keep it light and refreshing.
  • Garnish with fresh strawberries and mint leaves. This will make your mojito look and taste even better.
  • You can make a simple syrup by boiling equal parts sugar and water. Let the syrup cool completely before using it in your mojito.
  • If you don't have a muddler, you can use a wooden spoon or the back of a fork to crush the strawberries and mint leaves.
  • If you want to make a non-alcoholic mojito, simply omit the rum and add more club soda.
