Tips
  • If your mashed potatoes are too soft or runny, you can mix in a little flour or breadcrumbs to help achieve the right consistency for shaping
  • Customize the flavor of your mashed potato chips by adding your favorite seasonings. You can include herbs, spices, or minced garlic to the potato mixture for extra flavor.
  • When forming the chips, aim for uniform size and thickness.
  • Brush the potato chips lightly with oil (such as olive oil) on both sides. This helps them brown and become crispy.
  • Arrange the potato chips in a single layer on the baking sheet, making sure they don't overlap. Crowding can lead to uneven cooking.
  • Keep a close eye on the chips during the last few minutes of baking to avoid burning. Baking time may vary based on your oven and the thickness of the chips.
  • Allow the baked mashed potato chips to cool slightly on a wire rack to maintain their crispiness. Serve them as a tasty snack or side dish.
