Tips

  • Use a good quality beef. This will make a big difference in the taste of the dish.
  • Don't overcook the beef. The beef should be browned but still tender.
  • Adjust the amount of soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil to your taste.
  • Serve the beef lo mein immediately with your favorite toppings, such as chopped green onions, Sriracha sauce, or chili garlic sauce.
  • Use a wok: A wok is a traditional Chinese cooking vessel that is perfect for stir-frying. It has a large surface area and sloping sides, which helps to cook the food evenly. If you don't have a wok, you can use a large skillet.
  • Serve immediately: Beef lo mein is best served immediately after cooking. The noodles will become sticky if they are allowed to sit for too long.
  • To prevent the noodles from sticking together, cook them according to the package instructions and rinse them with cold water after draining. Toss them with a little oil to keep them from clumping.
